1.
It's the most wonderful time of the year With kids jingle belling and everyone telling you Be of good cheer It's the most wonderful time of the year There'll be parties for hosting Marshmallows for roasting And caroling out in the snow Scary ghost stories and Tales of the glories Of Christmases long long ago It's the most wonderful time It's the most wonderful time It's the most wonderful time of the year

Good times for a change See the life I've had could make a good man turn bad So please, please, please let me, let me, let me Get what I want this time Haven't had a dream in a long time See the luck I've had could make a good man bad So for once in my life let me get what I want Lord knows it would be the first time Lord knows it would be the first time So please, please, please let me, let me, let me Get what I want Lord knows it would be the first time Lord knows it would be the first time Lord knows it would be the first time

Sleighbells ring, are you listening? In the lane, snow is glistening A beautiful sight, we're happy tonight Walking in a winter wonderland Gone away is the bluebird Here to stay is the new bird He'll sing a love song as we stroll along Walking in a winter wonderland In the meadow we can build a snowman And pretend that he is Parson Brown He'll say "Are you married?", we'll say "No man. But you can do the job if you're in town." Then later on we'll conspire As we lay by the fire To face un-afraid the plans that we made Walking in a winter wonderland And later on we'll conspire As we lay by the fire To face un-afraid the plans that we made Walking in a winter wonderland Walking in a winter wonderland Walking in a winter wonderland

Silent Night 02:35
Silent night, holy night All is calm, all is bright 'Round yon virgin mother and child Holy infant so tender and mild Sleep in heavenly peace Sleep in heavenly peace Silent night, holy night Shepherd's quake at the sight Glories stream from heaven afar Heavenly hosts sing Hallelujah Christ the savior is born Christ the savior is born Silent night, holy night Son of God, love's pure light Radiant beams from thy holy face With the dawn of redeeming grace Jesus, lord at thy birth Jesus, lord at thy birth

And so this is Christmas, and what have you done? Another year over, a new one just begun And so happy Christmas, I hope you have fun The near and the dear one, the old and the young A very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Let's hope it's a good one without any fear And so this is Christmas for weak and for strong For rich and for poor one the world is so wrong And so this is Christmas for black and for white For yellow and red one, let's stop all the fight A very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Let's hope it's a good one without any fear And so this is Christmas, and what have we done? Another year over, a new one just begun And so happy Christmas, I hope you have fun The near and the dear one, the old and the young A very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Let's hope it's a good one without any fear War is over if you want it War is over now

I see the sunsets are comin' early these days And I feel a chill in the sun's waning rays I hear a sonnet of goodness and peace And I see the glow of the lights down the street So warm and so sweet Oh darlin', sing it with me Oh whoa-oh whoa-oh, it's Christmas time Oh whoa-oh whoa-oh, it's Christmas time We'll hang lights 'round the window to ward off the gloom And we'll move a tree into our living room Beneath we'll put presents, we'll pile them up They're just empty boxes, but we'll fill them up Don't matter with what So long as they're given with love Oh whoa-oh whoa-oh, it's Christmas time Oh whoa-oh whoa-oh, it's Christmas time

about

A cold night.

A bright window shines warmth into the dark.

A melody flutters down on the currents of cool air.

A homey upstairs room.

A glass of water sits on a wooden desk.

A bead of condensation glides down the clear side of the glass towards the polished surface.

A microphone on a stand.

A man with a guitar in his hands.

“We are the music makers, and the dreamers of dreams…” the man says quietly to himself.

This is the story of my new Christmas Album, a labor of love to share with friends and strangers alike. Christmas is the season of giving and in that spirit I give this album freely to any who want it. Most of these songs are not my own creations, they were given to me and many others like me in the days of our youth. I grew up learning the meaning of the word Christmas from songs like these ones, and you likely did as well. I hope you enjoy the works I’ve rendered here; that they remind you of a time when it was easy to believe in Peace on Earth.

Like all good things, these songs come to those who wait. I’ll be releasing two songs at a time on Thursdays, starting this Thursday. You’re welcome to download them free of charge, but you will also be permitted to make a donation of any dollar amount when you do download the songs if you feel so compelled. I will not be retaining any of the profits from this work, instead I’ll be donating them to the four charities I’ve discussed over the past four weeks: Child’s Play, Compassion International, Angel Tree, and Blood Water Mission.

So thanks to you for listening, thanks to my friends and family for their support during the recording of this album, thanks to the writers of these wonderful songs, and most of all thanks to the Father of the Son born on Christmas night so long ago for giving us this season of celebration in the first place.

Have a Merry Christmas.
